It's worth trying Blade Rubber in Bury Street, WC1 (opposite the British Museum). Although they are mainly stamping supplies, they do have some other bits and pieces. How about the various Hobbycraft Shops dotted around London? Otherwise try a spray acrylic varnish that is not specific to Fimo.
