Need some advice on dentures just had mine put in....?

i just had dentures put in thursday morning had 16 teeth pulled and now saturday night my right side of my face is swollen and the left side is starting to swell i go back to work on monday and was wondering how long this should last???? also i went to put the denture in this morning and it didnt want to go in because of the swollen area on my right side but after leaving it in my mouth for 15 minutes gently guiding it up there it went in, then i removed it and put some fixodent on it, i have been rinsing my mouth out with salty water, and i bought some mouthwash a couple of my friends told me about its called orajel antiseptic mouth sore rinse, i used it twice and it made my mouth smell better but just wondering if there is anything else i can do to start the lessen the swelling???any feedback is greatly appreciated, also i did go back to the dentist on friday to let them check the denture out and to do three adjustments on it where i told them it was rubbing at....well anyways thanks for whoever answers ill be waiting by my email lol
